Elizabeth Owings, M.D. - Medical Director

to announce the designation of Dr. Elizabeth Owings, Board Certified General Surgeon as our Medical Director. Dr. Owings has over twenty years experience in the medical field, with specialty training in a wide variety of procedures. She offers services such as:

Laser Liposuction, Laser Vein Therapy, Fractional Laser Resurfacing, Botox, Dermal Fillers, Weight Loss, and Hormone Replacement and

Management.

Dr. Owings is a Resident of Birmingham, Alabama and Graduate of UAB School of Medicine. She is former Chief Surgical Resident of University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital and Former Board Certified Pediatric Surgeon. She was Pediatric Surgery Fellow at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital at St. Louis University, St. Louis, MO and Critical Care Fellow in

the Department of PediatricSurgery at Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago, IL, and Former Chief Medical Advisor at ForMor International in Conway, Arkansas.

Dr. Owings is a Passionate, Dedicated and Caring Physician with Extensive Training in surgical and Non-Surgical Procedures and we look forward to her services as our Medical Director.

Art Cox III, M. D. - Staff Physician

Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Board Certified, Dr. Artemus Cox specializes in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 1994. Dr. Cox is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, the Alabama Chapter of American College of Surgeons, the Alabama Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery, and Medical Association of Alabama. He is a Fellow of American College of Surgeons.
With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Cox has extensive training in a wide variety of cosmetic procedures in the medical field such as Botox, Dermal Fillers, Face Lifts, Neck Lifts, Rhinoplasty, Reconstructive Surgery, as well as many other cosmetic surgical treatments.

Al Cohn, M. D. - Staff Physician

Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Dr. Al Cohn is highly trained plastic surgeon with over ten years experience in the medical field; he has extensive training in Cosmetic and Reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Cohn is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Medical Association, Jefferson County Medical Society, Alabama Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama

Dr. Don Walters - Staff Physician

Board Certified Fellow, American Society of Dermatology Surgery

Dr. Walters graduated Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York and completed his medical education at the State University of New York at Downstate. Following that he completed his residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Subsequently, his Dermatology Residency training was completed at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. In addition, he completed a one year Dermatology Fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Dr. Walters currently serves as a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is also a lifetime member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Donald Walters currently practices and serves as the Medical Director of Brookwood Dermatology in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

Dee Yadyasar, Co-Owner

Medical Esthetician

Dee Yadyasar brings over 15 years of experience in professional make up, permanent cosmetics and medical aesthetics to Azia Medical Spa. Dee began her career in the industry working in the corporate sector with high end cosmetic companies. Dee received her certification in permanent cosmetics from International Institute of Permanent Cosmetics and she received her certification in Aesthetics from Skinactics. Dee received her Master Aesthetician license from the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and has been performing permanent cosmetics and medical cosmetic treatments at the Narrows Clinic, where she owned and operated her own aesthetics business.
